Gaga will have fans on stage

Lady Gaga says she will pull at least 20 fans on stage every night for her new tour.
The singer announced new North American concert dates for The ARTPOP Ball, which kicks off in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on May 4th.
According to Gaga, fans will get a chance to meet the singer every night she performs.
'meet and greets are still free from the monster pit. I will still bring up fans and give out backstage passes,' she tweeted.
'we are also selling meet & greets, the most expensive tkt, which puts you ON the stage for the performance. we did this to scale tkt pricing so everyone could have a chance to go & I could make some tkt prices much lower outside US too (sic).'
According to Gaga, the more expensive tickets would mean fans got to sit near the piano as she performed. She also reiterates that even if people opt for a normal ticket, they still have a chance of getting on stage.
'yes, you will also sit on the stage the entire performance around 1 of the piano, just feet away from me. i will still pull about 20 fans at least out of the monster pit everynight, and if you get picked its free!!' Gaga added.

Holiday Albums 2013: 10 Hot Seasonal Releases

Baby, it's cold outside and all those activities in this winter wonderland feel a little warmer with a soundtrack of tunes from 2013's crop of holiday albums. Pop (Kelly Clarkson), R&B (Mary J. Blige), rock (Nick Lowe), traditional (Susan Boyle), and even plenty of eclectic choices abound this year -- Bad Religion's punk-tastic "Christmas Songs" or Duck Dynasty's "Duck The Halls" anyone? Tis the season to check out these 10 key 2013 holiday albums.
Holiday Gift Guide: 25+ Pop Presents

Kelly Clarkson - "Wrapped in Red"
If you're looking for holiday release with big pop star appeal, Kelly's "Wrapped in Red" is a great bet. Its jubilant single "Underneath the Tree" has already topped the Adult Contemporary chart, and sounds like it could have a home in Christmas radio playlists for years to come.

Mary J. Blige - "A Mary Christmas"
For fans of R&B divas, Mary J.'s holiday album is your go-to pick. She puts a soulful touch on standards like "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," but there's also a fusion of other genres. Plus, Barbra Streisand, Jessie J, and Marc Anthony are featured as guests.

Erasure - "Snow Globe"
For fans who might be looking for a more non-traditional take on holiday standards, there's "Snow Globe," from the long-running synth duo. The songs sound darker, sparser, dancier, or just otherwise different from their original counterparts. "Everything about Christmas has been written already," synth player Vince Clarke told Billboard in October. "We thought it would be more interesting to look into the darker side of the season."

Bad Religion - "Christmas Songs"
What started out sounding like a joke has become a reality -- Bad Religion has issued a Christmas album. The veteran punk band has railed against organized religion for years, but here they've ironically crammed eight Christmas classics into two-minute, frantic punk songs, leaving it up to the listener to make sense of it all.

Duck Dynasty - "Duck The Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas"
If you're a country music fan or just shopping for one, check out "Duck the Halls," which features 14 covers and originals sung by the cast of the A&E show, along with guest appearances from Luke Bryan, Alison Krauss, George Strait and more.

Leona Lewis - "Christmas, With Love"
Billed as having a "Motown vibe," "With Love" marks the first Christmas album from the "Bleeding Love" songstress. Included in the collection are Lewis's take on a number of classics like "White Christmas" and "Winter Wonderland" along with the originals "One More Sleep," "Mr. Right, and "Your Hallelujah."

Susan Boyle - "Home For Christmas"
The "Britain's Got Talent" phenom turned multi-platinum singer has followed up her 2010 seasonal release "The Gift," with a new album of holiday tunes sung in her traditional mezzo-soprano, "Home For Christmas." The new set features her rendition of "O Come All Ye Faithful," a "duet" with Elvis Presley, and the Scottish songbird is also offering the ability for listeners to personalize their copy of the album with text and a photo.

Nick Lowe - "Quality Street: A Seasonal Selection for All the Family"
For something in an iconoclastic rock vein, try Lowe's 12 "sleighbell-free" tunes. "Quality Street" is mixture of familiar standards ("Silent Night") and new songs written for the album, among them Lowe's collaboration with Ry Cooder "A Dollar Short of Happy" and the Ron Sexsmith song "Hooves on the Roof."

Straight No Chaser - "Under The Influence: Holiday Edition"
The a cappella group teamed up with a variety of notable singers (Colbie Caillat,  CeeLo Green) to cover festive chestnuts like "White Christmas" and "Everyday is Christmas" on their new eight-song release.

Tamar Braxton - "Winter Loversland"
Braxton has just the thing for a merry R&B Christmas music experience. Tamar's first Christmas album features her putting her soulful stamp on holiday favorites like "Santa Baby," as well as new songs "No Gift" and "She Have You."

Pretty Lights Presents 'A Color Map of the Sun Remixes'

Stream the reworked fourth album from Derek Vincent Smith

A Color Map of the Sun, the fourth album from Derek Vincent Smith, was the first Pretty Lights album composed entirely by Smith. The result is a grooving LP anchored by thumping drums and dreamy soundscapes. By contrast, the companion record A Color Map of the Sun Remixes finds sixteen other artists radically overhauling his originals into something more impulsive and aggressive.
See the 30 Greatest EDM Albums of All Time
Remixes reworkings show how far Pretty Lights’ music can be stretched while retaining the core identity. See Datsik's "Around the Block," which keeps Talib Kweli's refrain but adds dubstep robotic rumbling and hard-hitting sound effects like alarms. The Two Fresh's "All I’ve Ever Known" strips back the original's thick layers, revealing the melody at the track's core and making an already creepy song much more disturbing. Elliot Lipp's "Sweet Song Life," with its well-placed soaring synths, morphs Smith's original from a dark murkiness to a sunny dance tune.

Justin Bieber Joins Philippine Relief Efforts

Singer encourages fans to donate for chance to hang with him in the studio

Justin Bieber is joining relief efforts for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan with a charity drive encouraging his fans to chip in for a chance to hang out with the pop star in the studio while he records new music.
The Evolution of Justin Bieber
Fans who donate money through Prizeo.com will be entered in a drawing to win a trip for two to Los Angeles to meet Bieber early next year. Typhoon Haiyan devastated the Philippines November, killing more than 5,700 people and displacing as many as 1.9 million. The storm, the strongest typhoon ever recorded in the Philippines, is estimated to have caused more than $216 million in damage to the country's infrastructure and agriculture.
"Everyone knows I've got the best fans in the world," Bieber said in a video announcing the charity effort. "So the moment I heard about the tragedy a few weeks back, I knew I could count on you guys to make a difference."
Donors qualify for different reward levels based on the amount of money they give: For example, $10 means a video message from Bieber and 10 chances to win the trip to L.A., while $200 is good for a signed photo of Bieber and 200 chances to win the trip. Money raised will benefit UNICEF, Action Against Hunger and Philam Foundation, which are assisting in the relief effort.
Other musicians have contributed, too: David Byrne is hosted a fundraiser concert with the cast of his Here Lies Love musical about former Philippines First Lady Imelda Marcos, while the Beatles, Eminem, U2 and others donated tracks to Songs for the Philippines, an album benefiting the Philippine Red Cross.

Sweeter Than Fiction BY Taylor Swift

One Chance producer Simon Cowell approached Swift with the idea of becoming involved with the project. Swift was reportedly "so moved" by the film's concept she was inspired to write a song for it. The song was co-written by Jack Antonoff, who claims "Sweeter Than Fiction" has a John Hughes vibe, and who tweeted he "[LOVED] working with" Swift.
Swift revealed in an interview with country music blog Taste of Country that she viewed the film as a love story in addition to a chronicling of a man's road to success, and approached the songwriting process from that perspective: "I’m very inspired by the concept of love. And this movie is, in a lot of ways, ... a story of the love his wife … has for him," Swift explained. "That was the story that hit me and really affected me. I wanted to tell a story musically from that perspective."
The song was released to digital retailers as the lead single from the One Chance soundtrack on October 21, 2013. After its release, Swift admitted she had to fight her label to be allowed to release "Sweeter Than Fiction", as she tries to maintain a dormant period between album releases. Big Machine reportedly told Swift "no new music until the next album comes out", but Swift explained that after seeing the film, she insisted "I have to be a part of this."

PRISM kate perry

In a Fall 2012 interview with Billboard, Perry stated about Prism: "I know exactly the record I want to make next. I know the artwork, the coloring and the tone..... I even know what type of tour I'm doing next. I'll be very pleased if the vision I have in my head becomes a reality." She also mentioned that she did not want the album to be a "Teenage Dream 2.0", stating: "That would be silly. It's not of any interest for me to try and outdo myself at every corner". Furthermore, she declared: "I am doing little things here and there. I was just in the studio with another artist and it turned out all right. I'm going to start dusting off the wheels just a little: [I'm] going in with a couple of people in November [2012] and try out fun collaborations that maybe people wouldn't imagine".

Swings Both Ways by Robbie Williams

Swings Both Ways was announced by Williams in September 2013. It was released in the UK by Island Records on 18 November 2013. The album features cover versions of well known songs, as well as six new tracks written by Williams and Guy Chambers, who also produced the album. Swings Both Ways also features duets between Williams and Lily Allen, Michael Bublé, Kelly Clarkson, Olly Murs and Rufus Wainwright.
Williams stated "First of all, I wanted to do a swing album because I wanted to do a swing album. I always knew I'd do another and I think now is the perfect time to do it. I'm enjoying showbiz and I'm enjoying my life and my understanding of where I am now is that there needs to be an event every time I bring out a record. The album this time is a definite ode and a loving glance towards a period on the planet that I was never invited to 'coz I wasn't there… I wanted to be, which I feel still very strongly linked to." He added that Swings Both Ways was originally going to be similar to his first swing album Swing When You're Winning, but he later changed his mind and added the original tracks: "Going in I planned it to be very similar to the last one, and then I realized – that’s actually not what I wanted. It’s different – it’s not all covers, I had some songs that I wanted the world to hear and check out and maybe become part of the fabric of their lives, if I’m lucky enough, that I’ve had a hand in writing. So it’s very very similar to the last one, and very different – and hopefully I’m off to
romance the world!"

Inside Bob Dylan's Brilliant 'Like a Rolling Stone' Video

One of the best music videos of 2013 belongs to a 48-year-old song. The interactive video for Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone," released yesterday, is a tour de force: as the music plays, you can flip between sixteen channels of simulated TV programming. But whether you're watching a financial news update, a romantic comedy, or a tennis tournament, it looks authentic except that everyone seems to be lip-synching the lyrics of the song. While many of the channels are peopled by actors, the lineup is peppered with numerous celebrity performers such as comedian Marc Maron, rapper Danny Brown, the hosts of Pawn Stars, and Drew Carey (on the set of The Price Is Right). The overall effect is head-spinning but incredibly compelling: the more you surf through the "Like a Rolling Stone" video, the more the song's contempt seems to be addressed to all of western civilization. By the time you land on a vintage live performance of the actual Bob Dylan, he feels like the only real person in existence.
See Where Bob Dylan Ranks on Our 100 Greatest Artists of All Time
"The effect can only be surrealistic if the channels are realistic," says Vania Heymann, the video's 27-year-old Israeli director. "In reality, channel-flipping is a very passive act. You're sitting back in your house, doing nothing. We wanted to make it an active thing, reediting the song itself to make a new version."
The video took about two months to put together. "It's an hour and fifteen minutes of content if you watch every channel from top to bottom," Heymann points out. "It's like a feature film inside a five-minute music video." While Heymann shot some channels in California (The Price Is Right, for example) and the tennis match was filmed in Israel (so he could recruit friends to be in the crowd), most of the filming was done in and around New York. One suburban house served as the backdrop for five different channels on the same day, including the home shopping network, the history channel, and the cooking show.
Yoni Bloch, the CEO of Interlude Studios, the digital production company behind the project, says of the video's painful gestation, "You know how in the middle of every creation, nothing makes sense and you want to die?"
Heymann reports that most actors who auditioned for the project told him at the end of the audition, "This was very weird." The doubts continued during the shoot. "I tried to tell people, 'In the end, it's all going to be connected.'" He instructed his performers "not to refer to the lyrics of the song. It's like they're trying to say something completely else, and their mouth is possessed." Adeena Sussman, who plays the host on the cooking channel, would rehearse each shot pretending she was going to give actual culinary instructions, and then substitute Dylan lyrics at the last moment. The dessert she prepares is an actual recipe (with the ingredients detailed by onscreen graphics). "You can make it at home," Heymann promises.
See Where Bob Dylan's 'Like a Rolling Stone' Ranks on Our 500 Greatest Songs of All Time
Heymann has a cameo himself — on the news channel, as the stabbing victim who then looks up into a security camera and delivers the song's second verse. While you might suspect the perpetrator was the mystery tramp, he says it was actually the video's executive producer.
The video is already a phenomenon: Bloch reports that it had close to a million unique viewers in its first day, with over 90% of them actively flipping channels. "And I can't say who, but our inboxes are flooded with big networks asking if they can add their shows to the mix. It's like we're building a format."

Ke$ha And Pitbull Make It All Go Down In Sexy “Timber” Lyric Video: Watch

Pitbull and Ke$ha have a huge hit on their hands with square dance-inducing party anthem “Timber”. The catchy tune has been holding steady in the iTunes top 20 with minimal airplay and label fanfare, so expect it to go through the roof when they actually start promoting it.
The first step in any PR campaign is the now unavoidable (but still annoying) lyric video. Happily Mr. Worldwide and Lady Dolla do an excellent job of making theirs interesting by including the silhouette of a woman dancing, empty whiskey glasses and a pretty cityscape. Bring on the actual video. It’s time Ke$ha returned to the upper reaches of the Billboard Hot 100.
Is this going all the way to number one? Have your say in the comments below.

Chris Brown countersues man over Frank Ocean fight

Chris Brown has countersued a man who accused the singer and his entourage of attacking him outside a recording studio earlier this year.
Brown has filed a lawsuit against the man, Sha’keir Duarte, who had previously claimed in a lawsuit that he was injured after being punched and kicked by a member of Brown’s entourage during the fight, which took place in January outside a West Hollywood studio and is said to have involved Frank Ocean.
As Billboard reports, Duarte sued Brown in August. Brown’s countersuit however accuses Duarte of instigating the fight by pushing, kicking and punching him and threatening to kill him. No criminal charges were filed over the fight.
Last month (October 27), Brown allegedly assaulted a man in Washington DC during an altercation outside a hotel. He may face criminal charges.
Brown is still on probation for his 2009 attack on then-girlfriend Rihanna and is due for a hearing in Los Angeles on November 20, during which the new case may be addressed. The R&B singer entered rehab for anger management issues on October 29.
Earlier this year, Brown he told fans that his forthcoming album, ‘X’, due for release sometime before 2013 is up, is likely to be his last. He wrote on Twitter: “Don’t worry mainstream America. After this X album, it’ll probably be my last album.”

MIA: ‘I’m a rapper, not a popstar’

MIA has said that she doesn’t feel popular enough to be classed as a popstar.
Instead, the ‘Bring The Noize’ performer says she feels more comfortable being referred to as a rapper. MIA revealed her insecurities during an interview about the release of her new album ‘Matangi’ for V Magazine.
“I dunno” it’s weird,” she told the interviewer. “I’m not really a popstar. I don’t think I’m popular enough to be a proper popstar. I prefer being called a rapper.”
Responding to a question about whether she ever doubted herself, she added: “Yeah, after I made the last record I was no longer on XL, my old label, and I felt like I didn’t know how to make a big pop record.I didn’t know how to do the thing that everyone wanted me to do – which seemed like the only thing you could do on a major label.”
Meanwhile, it was reported on Wednesday (November 6) that work has begun on the much-delayed documentary about MIA. The film will be the feature-length debut of Steve Loveridge, who has been a collaborator of the musician since they met at St Martins art college in London.
Earlier this year, Loveridge appeared to quit the project after leaking a trailer for the film, which featured glimpses of Kanye West, Diplo and Julian Assange as well as MIA. However, shooting is now said to have begun in London thanks to backing from UK-based non-profit documentary support organisation BRITDOC, which will co-produce the project.

A note from Mike Shinoda on the track:
Although we opted for a different final direction for “I’LL BE GONE,” I always loved this longer version of the song. I think this is a good example of how a different structure and arrangement can totally change the vibe of a song. Plus, this has a different chorus… - Mike Shinoda / LINKIN PARK.

Eminem Has 10 Tracks on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart

Eminem is the king of the Billboard charts this week. He not only has the No. 1 album on both the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts, but also earns 10 concurrent songs on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. (His new "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" tops both album tallies, selling 792,000 in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.)
The album's latest single, “The Monster,” featuring Rihanna, rules for a second week at No. 1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, keeping Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” featuring Majid Jordan, at No. 2. Eminem's “Rap God” flies 8-2 back to its peak position, pushing Jay Z’s “Holy Grail,” featuring Justin Timberlake (3-4), and Mike WiLL Made It’s “23,” featuring Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J (4-5), down one spot each.
Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” featuring T.I. and Pharrell (5-6), also drops one position, as does Eminem’s “Berzerk” (6-7). YG’s “My Hitta,” featuring Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan, steps up 9-8 thanks to a 26% increase to 9.3 million listener impressions, according to Nielsen BDS. Chris Brown’s “Love More,” featuring Nick Minaj, moves 10-9 in its 16th week and fittingly, Em’s “Survival” rounds out the top 10 with a 7-10 tumble.
An additional six songs from "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" set debut on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs: "Beautiful Pain," featuring Sia (No. 30), "Love Game" (No. 31), "Headlights," featuring Nate Ruess (No. 35), "Bad Guy" (No. 38), "Rhyme or Reason" (No. 41) and "Legacy" (No. 44).
Since the chart adopted its current sales/airplay/streaming methodology 13 months ago, Eminem is the fourth artist (and they're all rappers) to have 10 or more songs chart concurrently. Drake accomplished the feat four times (most recently on the Nov. 2 chart), Jay Z did so in July, 2 Chainz in January, and Kendrick Lamar in November 2012.
Over on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, as previously noted, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" rules the top of the list, as it zooms from No. 67 to No. 1. (It debuted last week due to early sales, as some retailers broke street date and started selling the album early.)
This is his seventh chart-topper on the list out of eight appearances. His only album to miss the top was “Curtain Call: The Hits,” which debuted and peaked at No. 2 on Dec. 24, 2005.
Eminem’s move pushes Drake’s “Nothing was the Same” (37,000, down 3%) out of the top spot to No. 2 and Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2)” down 2-3 with 20,000 (a 1% drop). New to the region is Tech N9ne’s “Therapy: Sessions with Ross Robinson” debuting at No. 4 with 10,000 to mark his 11th top 10 title on the chart. His “Something Else” debuted at No. 3 with 58,000 this past August.
Tamar Braxton’s “Love and War” closes out the top five Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums with a 37% percent rise to 8,000 units. Since its release on Sept. 3, the set has sold a total of 233,000 copies.

Lady Gaga Books Gig in Space

Lady Gaga performs in London, England.
Not content to be confined by Earth's gravitational pull, Lady Gaga is planning to sing in space, Us Weekly reports. The gig will go down in 2015 in conjunction with the Zero-G Music Tech Festival at New Mexico's Spaceport America. She'll board a Virgin Galactic spaceship for a performance that is reportedly planned for dawn on the festival's third day. In preparation, Gaga will have to do a month of rehearsals because of the change in atmosphere. No word on the price tag to catch Gaga's space set, but expect it to cost a pretty penny.
Read Rolling Stone's Ultimate Ranking of Lady Gaga's Catalog
Gaga isn't the only singer with her eye on the sky. English classical-crossover artist Sarah Brightman is also preparing for a space voyage in 2015, her rep said. Brightman is training with Russian cosmonauts for a 10-day journey to the International Space Station, where she she hopes to record a song.
News of Lady Gaga's cosmic aspirations comes as the singer is about to release her fourth album ARTPOP, which is now streaming on iTunes Radio. It was reported earlier this week that she recently split with her longtime manager, Troy Carter, who had a heavy hand in breaking her. She's set to take over Saturday Night Live on November 16th as both host and performer. So far, her space show is the only live show on the books.

KATY PERRY:Firework

From

“Firework” is a song by American recording artist Katy Perry. The song was written by Perry, Mikkel S. Eriksen, Tor Erik Hermansen, Sandy Wilhelm, Ester Dean, and produced by Stargate and Sandy Vee for Perry’s third studio album, Teenage Dream (2010). The song is a self-empowerment anthem with inspirational lyrics, and was considered by Perry as the most important song for her on Teenage Dream.

Perry told Billboard that the inspiration for the song came from an unlikely source. “My boyfriend showed me a paragraph out of Jack Kerouac’s book On The Road, about people that are buzzing and fizzing and full of life and never say a commonplace thing. They shoot across the sky like a firework and make people go, ‘Ahhh.’ I guess that making people go ‘ahhh’ is kind of like my motto.” (

“Unconditionally” Coming November 19 – Watch the Trailer Now!

The “Unconditionally” music video will be premiering on November 19th at 7:53pm ET on MTV
Written by Katy Perry, Lukasz Gottwald, Max Martin and Henry Walter

Oh no, did I get too close
Oh, did I almost see
What’s really on the inside

All your insecurities
All the dirty laundry
Never made me blink one time

(Chorus)
Unconditional
Unconditionally
I will love you
Unconditionally

There is no fear now
Let go and just be free
I will love you
Unconditionally

Come just as you are to me
Don’t need apologies
Know that you are worthy

I’ll take your bad days with your good
Walk through the storm I would
I do it all because I love you
I love you

(Chorus)

So open up your heart and just let it begin
Open up your heart and just let it begin
Open up your heart and just let it begin
Open up your heart

Acceptance is the key to be
To be truly free
Will you do the same for me

(Chorus)

I will love you
Unconditionally
I will love you
I will love you
Unconditionally

One Direction Tells The 'Story Of My Life': Hear The New Single

One Direction Tells The 'Story Of My Life': Hear The New Single

One Direction's latest "Midnight Memories" single will make "What Makes You Beautiful" and "One Thing" purists do a double-take -- it sounds as if the world's biggest boy band is fully embracing alternative rock music. Listen to "Story Of My Life" below:
The follow-up to the rock-tastic "Best Song Ever" begins with little more a few careful acoustic plucks and overarching vocals that gently convey a broken heart. Soon, "Story Of My Life" picks up with a steady drum pattern and space-filling backing vocals that recall the folky chants of none other than Mumford & Sons.
One Direction, Florida Georgia Line to Perform on American Music Awards
"Story Of My Life" premiered on Friday (Oct. 25), one month before "Midnight Memories" hits retailers on Nov. 25. Earlier this month, the 1D guys released the mature "Midnight Memories" album artwork as well as the 14-song track list; "Best Song Ever," which peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100 chart, will lead the follow-up to last year's "Take Me Home."
Two days before the album release, One Direction will host "1D Day," a seven-hour live stream broadcast connecting the superstar boy band with fans across the globe. Expect some entertaining stories aside from "Story Of My Life" during the seven-hour event.

Lorde's 'Royals' Leads Hot 100, Lady Gaga's 'Dope' Debuts At No. 8

Lorde's 'Royals' Leads Hot 100, Lady Gaga's 'Dope' Debuts At No. 8
Meanwhile, Eminem's 'The Monster,' featuring Rihanna, lifts 3-2.
Lorde's "Royals" rules the Billboard Hot 100 for a seventh week, while new Billboard 200 leader Eminem rises 3-2 with "The Monster," featuring Rihanna. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga scores a second top 10 from her just-released album "ARTPOP," as the set's "Dope" debuts at No. 8.

Let's run down the numbers, as we do each Wednesday.

"Royals" tops the Radio Songs chart for a fourth week with 168 million audience impressions, down 2%, according to Nielsen BDS. The track leads the subscription services-based On-Demand Songs chart for a sixth week with 2.5 million on-demand U.S. streams, according to BDS (up 3%), while dropping from its No. 2 peak to No. 3 on the overall Streaming Songs chart (7.2 million U.S. streams, up less than 1%). "Royals" rebounds 3-2 on Digital Songs (186,000 downloads sold, down 5%, according to Nielsen SoundScan), which it led for five weeks.

"Royals" crowns Hot Rock Songs for an 11th week.

Eminem's "The Monster" lifts 3-2 in its second week on the Hot 100 with the chart's top Airplay Gainer award. The track blasts 31-12 on Radio Songs with a 53% increase to 56 million. It's Eminem's highest rank on the chart since his prior Rihanna collaboration "Love the Way You Lie" spent eight weeks at No. 1 in 2010. As parent album "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" debuts atop the Billboard 200, "Monster" drops 1-4 on Digital Songs (150,000, down 60%); its sales slide is owed to iTunes' customers who opted to "complete" the "Marshall" album by upgrading their earlier purchases of "Monster" to a full album. Effectively, consumers who completed the album were returning a song, thus augmenting the song's sales drop this week. (For the purposes of Hot 100 rankings, aggregate sales and returns contribute to the song's overall point total.)
Eminem Returns: The Billboard Cover Story
"Monster" soars 18-7 on Streaming Songs (4.9 million, up 115%) and 41-3 on On-Demand Songs (1.9 million, up 235%). The track spends a second week in charge of both Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Rap Songs.

Could "Monster" be close to scaring "Royals" out of the Hot 100's top spot soon? An 18% difference in overall Hot 100 chart points separate the songs, with the latter down by 3% and the former up 3%.

Miley Cyrus' former two-week Hot 100 No. 1 "Wrecking Ball" drops 2-3. It falls 1-2 on Streaming Songs, which it led for six weeks (7.9 million, down 9%) and holds at No. 5 on Radio Songs (111 million, down 3%). On Digital Songs, it rebounds 10-7 (121,000, down 1%).

Perry's fellow former two-week leader "Roar" stays at No. 4 on the Hot 100, while remaining in the top five of the three main Hot 100 component charts, holding at No. 3 on Radio Songs (129 million, down 8%) and dipping 3-5 on Streaming Songs (5.4 million, down 3%) and 4-5 on Digital Songs (136,000, down 3%). Meanwhile, "Unconditionally," the second single from Perry's album "PRISM" (down 2-4 in its third week on the Billboard 200), jumps 25-21 on the Hot 100 and 18-14 on Radio Songs (52 million, up 10%).

Avicii rounds out the Hot 100's top five, as "Wake Me Up!" keeps at No. 5. It stays at its No. 2 highpoint on Radio Songs (150 million, down less than 1%) and rules Dance/Electronic Songs for a 10th week. Since the latter tally's launch earlier this year, only one other title has racked a reign of double-digit weeks: Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," featuring Pharrell Williams (13 weeks).

Drake's No. 4-peaking "Hold On, We're Going Home," featuring Majid Jordan, reverses course, rising 7-6 on the Hot 100. (As noted in this weekend's "Ask Billboard" reader mailbag, by peaking at No. 4 with the song, Drake is just the fifth artist ever to boast a string of hits that have peaked at each position in the top 10, joining Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Madonna and Ludacris.)

"Hold" tops R&B Songs for a seventh week.

OneRepublic's "Counting Stars" reaches a new Hot 100 peak (9-7). It charges 9-3 on Digital Songs 152,000, up 16%) and 17-11 on Radio Songs (62 million, up 33%).

Lady Gaga's "Dope" storms onto the Hot 100 at No. 8, fueled most heavily by its No. 1 arrival on Streaming Songs (marking her first leader on the list) with 8.2 million first-week streams; 95% of that sum stems from YouTube (non-VEVO) views of the live video of Gaga performing "Dope" at the YouTube Music Awards on Nov. 3. The ballad also begins on Digital Songs at No. 60 with 31,000 downloads sold.

"Dope" marks Mother Monster's lucky 13th Hot 100 top 10. She first reached the bracket with "Just Dance" five years ago next month. Dating to her first week in the top 10 (Dec. 6, 2008), only Rihanna (16) claims more top 10s, while Gaga ties Drake for the second-most. Taylor Swift is next with 12, followed by Lil Wayne, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry (11 apiece).
Lady Gaga's artRAVE Party: 'ARTPOP' Performance, Flying Dress & Costumes Galore
Gaga remains in the Hot 100's top 10 with the No. 4-peaking "Applause" (10-10). Both songs appear on "ARTPOP," released on Monday and due on next week's Billboard 200. ("Applause" has spent each of its 13 weeks on the Hot 100 in the top 10.) Meanwhile, the set's next radio single, "Do What U Want," featuring R. Kelly, rebounds 58-48 on the Hot 100 after debuting at No. 13 two weeks ago. It pushes 64-51 in its second week on Radio Songs (23 million, up 22%).

In between Gaga's current top 10s, Imagine Dragons' "Demons" slides to No. 9 from its No. 8 Hot 100 peak, but with gains in all of the chart's metrics. It reaches the Digital Songs top 10 (14-10; 110,000, up 12%) in its 27th week on the chart, completing the fourth-longest trip to the tier. (Florida Georgia Line set the longevity mark earlier this year when "Cruise" arrived in the top 10 in its 35th frame. In 2007, Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" required 32 weeks to reach the top 10 and KT Tunstall's "Suddenly I See" needed 29.) "Demons" climbs 8-6 on Radio Songs (95 million, up 17%) and drops 19-21 on Streaming Songs but with a 16% lift to 2.6 million.

Just outside the Hot 100's top 10, duo A Great Big World bows at No. 16 with "Say Something," featuring Christina Aguilera. The impact of NBC's "The Voice," on which Aguilera serves as a coach, is evident, as the ballad starts at No. 1 on Digital Songs with 189,000 sold (up 1,761%). The song benefits from the pair's performance of it last week on the show, along with a newly-released version with Aguilera; the remix featuring her accounts for 86% of the song's overall download sales in the chart's tracking week.
A Great Big World Interview: 'Say Something,' Xtina & Their Debut Album
Excluding the one-off superstar assemblage Artists for Haiti ("We Are the World 25: For Haiti," 2010), no act had debuted atop Digital Songs with a first chart entry since 2008 "American Idol" champ David Cook" opened at No. 1 with his coronation song "The Time of My Life" (June 7, 2008). A Great Big World is the first duo or group to begin at No. 1 on Digital Songs on its first try, excluding Artists for Haiti and Linkin Park, whose "Numb"/Encore," co-credited to Jay Z, marked the band's first appearance on the chart when it started at the summit the week of Nov. 27, 2004; however, Linkin Park's career predated the chart's inception.

Other Hot 100 debuts this week include Justin Bieber's "Bad Day" (No. 53), the fifth offering in his "Music Mondays" series; "The Voice" contestant James Wolpert's cover of Joni Mitchell's "A Case of You" (No. 72); and Britney Spears' "Perfume" (No. 76). It's the second single from her eighth studio album, "Britney Jean" (due Dec. 3), following "Work B**ch!," which peaked at No. 12.

Visit Billboard.com tomorrow (Nov. 14), when all rankings, including the Hot 100 in its entirety and Digital Songs, Radio Songs, Streaming Songs and On-Demand Songs will be refreshed, as they are each Thursday. The latest charts will also appear in the next issue of Billboard magazine (on sale on Friday, Nov. 15).

Linkin Park's RECHARGED: Hear The Entire Album Right Now!

Linkin Park's desire for reinvention has never been a secret; ever since 2002's Reanimation — and their subsequent team up with Jay Z on Collision Course — they've been in the business of tearing things down.
But in recent years, with the release of the artful, adventurous A Thousand Suns and the equally oblique LIVING THINGS, they've only accelerated that destruction, largely abandoning their hard-riffing roots in favor of songs that explore textures and create atmospheres. That they've done so without fear of alienating their fans (or royally pissing off shareholders at the Warner Music Group) only speaks to a larger point: there truly is no other band of their stature so willing to push the boundaries, blow things up, and begin anew.
It's no surprise, then, that on the heels of LIVING THINGS, Linkin Park are set to release RECHARGED, their most adventurous — and ambitious — album to date. Featuring remixes from outsiders like Steve Aoki, Tom Swoon and Dirtyphonics — and re-workings of tracks by Mike Shinoda and LIVING THINGS producer Rick Rubin — it represents a near complete reimagining of the Linkin Park universe; and unlike Reanimation, the changes are more than cosmetic.
To wit, while there are no tracks with titles like "Kyur4 th Ich" or "P5hng Me A*wy" on RECHARGED, there are endless moments that take Linkin Park's signature sonics to the brink and back. Frontman Chester Bennington's yowls are smashed together with knotty, gnarly electro on KillSonik's walloping remix of "Lost in the Echo," rapper Pusha T contributes a biting verse to a massive, molecular reworking of "I'll Be Gone," and Shinoda contributes a pair of stand-out tracks: a spindly, starry version of "Castle of Glass," and a skittering update on the LIVING THINGS stomper "Victimized."
In short, RECHARGED is full of big risks and even bigger ideas, a record that not only shows where Linkin Park are at in 2013, but hints where they may go next. And now, ahead of its October 29 release, MTV is giving fans an exclusive listen to the full album. Push play, and marvel at LP's continued determination to destroy it all and start over again.

Eminem - The Monster

Artist: Eminem
Featuring: Rihanna
Producer: Frequency & Symbolic One
Album: The Marshall Mathers LP 2
Avg Rating: 32101   3.5 ( 21 total votes )

In 2010, Eminem recruited Rihanna to assist him on Love the Way You Lie.  The record was an absolute smash, entering the US Billboard Hot 100 chart at #2 and eventually spending seven weeks at #1.  It also not-too-shabbily debuted at #1 on the US Digital Songs chart, selling a solid-day-at-the-office 338,000 copies.  Three years later, the duo look to repeat history with The Monster, a song whose title accurately describes its massive potential.  The track, produced by Frequency and Symbolic One, is the most instantly likable among Slim’s pre-MMLP2 single releases, thanks to the Jon Bellion-penned hook, and should offer radio programmers across multiple formats an easy add into rotation.  So, will The Monster outperform previous singles Rap God and Berzerk? Will it lead to a strong first week for Mathers? Find out when The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is released on November 5.

Lead Single: Berzerk
Avg Rating: 43210   4.3

In May of 2000, Eminem released his sophomore major label album, The Marshall Mathers LP.  In addition to earning the rap icon a Grammy for “Best Rap Album” and a spot on Rolling Stone’s “Top 500 Albums of All-Time” list, to date it has racked up over 27 million sales worldwide. Five albums and 13 years later, Slim Shady is back, yes, back again, with a sequel to his greatest body of work of his career.
The 16-track The Marshall Mathers LP 2 includes lead singles “Berzerk,” “Survival,” “Rap God” and “The Monster.”
Executive Produced by Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin, MMLP2 contains one skit (say it ain’t so, Marshall!) and features special guests Kendrick Lamar, Nate Ruess (the lead vocalist of Fun.), Rihanna and Skylar Grey.
